Epistemology and challenges of 21st century managerial formation

This expository essay aims to present the epistemological approaches of management and their contribution to the training of the new manager of the 21st century. A documentary review is carried out where concepts such as advanced management, manager training, and positivist and constructivist perspectives of epistemology are examined. Recent trends in management epistemology are also analyzed, such as complexity and holism. Through epistemology, the most suitable perspectives for training in current managerial practice are sought to integrate and complement different approaches in what is called the "epistemological encounter" for the development of managerial training.
